Every file is compressed with the same balanced setting as Medium in Compress PDF: images are reduced to 150 DPI, which keeps documents clear on screen and in normal printing. If compression would not make a file smaller, you get the original back unchanged. For other levels, or an exact size such as 100 KB, compress files one at a time with Compress PDF.
Text stays sharp. Photos and scanned pages can look slightly softer. PDFs with many images shrink the most; text-only PDFs are already small and shrink less.

Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first with Unlock PDF. Damaged files can also fail. The rest of the batch carries on.

Compression runs on our own servers. Your PDFs are uploaded over an encrypted connection, kept only while they are compressed and you download them, and then deleted. They are never sent to a third party.
